Cassandra “Cassie” Newman, president of Point O’View brings 30 years' experience in group health and ancillary benefit underwriting and sales experience (the last 20 years focused on public sector, K-12, first responder, tribal and union members),
The past 20 years Cassie has worked with states, counties and school districts across the country, "I am very pleased to share my professional expertise with a broad and diverse audience."
A courageous, knowledgeable, and empathetic leader focused on business results coupled with better “health” and well-being for constituents and society.
A "small town" approach to the "big healthcare" issues and social needs backed with extensive financial carrier and customer experience.
My grandfather established Point O'View consulting 1949 after serving the war. Point O'View for many years was an international manufacturing consulting firm that supported local business as well as clients in China and London.
In 1951 my grandmother purchased the property nestled in an apple orchard in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts.
The carriage house that warmed the ponies became his office and hosted the likes of Breck Shampoo, Package Machinery, Dunkin Donuts and other notable local business leaders to advise on how best to protect and move their products across the country.
The houses have architectural elements from a sea captain's house in Taunton, Massachusetts and are built on foundations of local quarry brownstone. The homestead (built in 1903) is on the high point of my small town. Prior It was occupied by a farming family and then the president of Royal Enfield motorcycle. Since the 1950's we have had five generations live on the property.
Small towns and little stories like this speak to the importance of the continuous vitality of our unique diverse heritages and the future.
In 2023 I decided it was my turn to carry on the tradition:
Honoring the importance of local and global connection at all levels.
